Senior Contract Manager

Role Overview

As a Senior Contract Manager at Boskalis, you will be instrumental in providing contractual expertise throughout project preparation and execution phases while managing contract administration. The role emphasizes leading complex, high-profile projects including joint ventures, and includes supervising and mentoring Contract Managers and Quantity Surveyors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage contract administration by preparing and updating daily progress and event documentation.
• Offer commercial and contractual guidance during the preparation, implementation, and closure of intricate projects, sometimes involving joint ventures.
• Compose, assess, and negotiate contracts, including subcontracts, variation directives, and claims.
• Review and draft official communication with partners, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Collaborate closely with Project Teams alongside Insurance, Procurement, Treasury departments, and Senior Legal Counsel.
• Promote and raise contract awareness within project teams.
• Provide mentorship and supervision to assigned Contract Managers and Quantity Surveyors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master's degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Over 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Thorough knowledge of international maritime and construction contract standards such as FIDIC, LOGIC, NEC, IMCA, and BIMCO.
• Preferred experience in international maritime or civil engineering sectors.

• Proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Strong communication skills, team-oriented with a commercial mindset.
• Willingness to undertake international assignments and rotate on project sites abroad.
