Senior Commissioning Engineer

Overview

This position entails leading Operation Readiness Disciplines Engineers and Technicians in close collaboration with QatarEnergy Project Team and Contractors. The role ensures a uniform and standardized approach to design execution, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities for Operational Area projects, aligning with approved procedures, engineering designs, and safety and environmental standards. The focus is to guarantee that assets are delivered ready for operation, allowing for safe, reliable, and sustainable management.

Key Objectives

• Ensure Operational Area Asset Owners receive fully prepared assets at delivery/handover capable of safe and sustainable operation and maintenance.
• Achieve faster project delivery at reduced costs with maximum productivity, without compromising quality or health, safety, and environmental standards.

Experience & Expertise

• At least 15 years of experience covering design, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases of oil and gas processing and production facilities, both onshore and offshore.
• Preferably worked with EPIC contracting firms, with a minimum of 8 years serving in commissioning coordination or leadership roles.
• Proficient in operations, maintenance, and the entire pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and hand-over lifecycle.

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or an equivalent professional certification is advantageous.
