About the Company and Role

This position is offered by a reputable property and construction firm located in Sydney that provides comprehensive project development, architectural design, construction oversight, and real estate services. The company is recognized for delivering integrated, high-quality projects.

We are looking for a Senior Architect with solid design leadership capabilities and robust technical skills to spearhead residential projects across Sydney, especially Townhouse developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and project delivery focusing on dense residential and townhouse developments.
• Manage the preparation and submission of documentation for Development Applications (DA), Construction Certificates (CC), and Complying Development Certificates (CDC), while ensuring strict adherence to NSW planning regulations, Building Code of Australia (BCA)/National Construction Code (NCC), and local council standards.
• Coordinate effectively with external consultants, government authorities, and in-house teams to facilitate project progression.
• Collaborate closely with construction teams during the building stages to address site queries and preserve design quality and intent.
• Mentor junior and mid-level design staff, providing technical guidance and support.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture; registration as a Architect in NSW is highly valued.
• At least five years of experience working locally in Sydney with demonstrated expertise in townhouse and multi-residential architecture.
• Comprehensive understanding of New South Wales planning policies, including Housing SEPP, low and mid-rise housing guidelines, and local LEPs/DCPs.
• Familiarity with the Design and Building Practitioners (DBP) Act is essential.
• Advanced skills in Revit software; experience with Enscape is advantageous.
• Excellent capabilities in project management, stakeholder communication, and managing client relationships.
• Preference is given to candidates fluent in both English and Chinese languages.
