Senior Analyst - Internal Audit

Role Context

Joining the Compliance & Internal Audit Analytics team, specifically the Internal Audit branch, this key role involves partnering closely with Internal Audit (IA) to craft and execute cutting-edge analytics strategies across the function. The IA team functions independently, acting as a third line of defense, providing objective evaluations and assurance regarding governance frameworks and internal controls effectiveness at Wise.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders spanning IA across all regions, business lines, and domains, including Financial Crime, Operations, Risk, Finance, and Technology, with a focus on audits centered in the APAC region.
• Identify and deploy analytics initiatives within audits that have maximal impact, while mentoring audit partners to adopt and leverage analytics efficiently.
• Work alongside analytics experts, engineers, and domain specialists to explore diverse datasets, apply modern analytical techniques, and develop operational insights about Wise.
• Promote cutting-edge innovation and data-driven insights not only in auditing but across all IA functions where analytics adds value.
• Lead automation and tooling projects aimed at boosting internal audit efficiency, including workflow automation, continuous auditing enhancements, artificial intelligence applications, and MI dashboard development.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 3 years of professional experience in data analytics.
• Minimum of 1 year experience within audit, risk management, or compliance data analytics roles.
• Background working in fintech or related financial services sectors.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, demonstrating capability to coordinate and influence cross-functional teams such as analytics, engineering, and business specialists to implement impactful changes.
• Proficient in SQL for constructing and managing intricate data sources and adept at utilizing visualization software to highlight important insights.

Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory)

• Familiarity with dbt, Superset, and/or Lightdash tools.
• Knowledge of advanced analytics methods including Python programming and advanced visualization.
