Senior AI/ML Architect, Applied Field Engineering/Field CTO

As part of the Sales Engineering team, you will provide expert guidance and collaborate with technical leaders and data scientists to design AI solutions leveraging the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. You will work strategically with product, engineering, and field teams to drive adoption and success of AI and ML solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the AI and ML technical authority, showcasing Snowflake’s capabilities to technical stakeholders throughout the APJ region.
• Partner with account teams and customer advocates to define and execute proofs of concept that demonstrate the business value of Snowflake’s AI solutions, including producing executive presentations and business cases.
• Engage with product and engineering teams to influence AI and ML product roadmaps informed by customer insights.
• Create scalable content such as blog articles, conference presentations, technical materials, notebooks, and demos to extend the team’s reach.
• Contribute to and customize Sales Engineering materials like presentations, demonstrations, and customer success stories focused on AI and ML.
• Collaborate with sales teams across APJ to help clients implement AI/ML applications on the Snowflake platform.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in developing and deploying machine learning systems, including more than 3 years focused on cloud-based Generative AI applications.
• Hands-on expertise in full machine learning workflows, including MLOps, managing feature stores, model deployment, explainability, and monitoring.
• Comprehensive understanding of generative AI methodologies such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), few-shot learning, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning to operationalize enterprise AI scenarios like chatbots and text analysis.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML libraries including LangChain, pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch, plus familiarity with data engineering platforms such as dbt, Airflow, and Spark.
• Excellent presentation skills tailored for both technical and executive audiences through whiteboarding and formal demos.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields preferred, or equivalent experience.

Additional Desired Experience

• Familiarity with large language model (LLM) ecosystem tools such as LangChain and LlamaIndex or other open-source software.
• Experience with major cloud infrastructure providers including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• At least one year of in-depth experience working with Snowflake.
• Knowledge of large-scale database technologies like Snowflake, Netezza, Exadata, Teradata, or Greenplum.
• Prior roles involving quota responsibilities are advantageous.
