Senior AI Scientist - Systematic Trading

Role Overview

We seek a highly skilled AI Scientist to develop and deploy AI-driven data products focused on systematic trading. The role involves leveraging machine learning, large language models, and cutting-edge AI technologies to address complex business challenges in the financial sector.

Key Duties

• Create AI-enabled data products utilizing machine learning and advanced AI approaches including LLMs.
• Manage the full AI model lifecycle: development, training, fine-tuning, evaluation, and deployment using proprietary and external data sources.
• Construct comprehensive machine learning pipelines covering data preparation, feature engineering, model training, validation, deployment, and continuous monitoring.
• Apply generative AI and LLM methodologies to practical business needs such as summarizing text, classification, extracting information, semantic search, and automating workflows.
• Work collaboratively with product teams, engineers, and business partners to convert complex challenges into scalable AI solutions.
• Assess and implement third-party AI tools, APIs, open-source models, and internal AI mechanisms efficiently.
• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and workflows handling both structured and unstructured data.
• Define relevant metrics for model evaluation, run experimental analyses, perform error diagnostics, and iteratively enhance model outcomes.
• Provide support for production deployment ensuring AI systems are reliable, scalable, comply with governance, and adhere to responsible AI principles.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a PhD in Computer Science or related field specialized in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a similar area.
• Proficient in Python programming and SQL database queries.
• Documented scholarly contributions with publications in top-tier AI and machine learning conferences.
• Minimum three years of experience in data science roles focused on AI or machine learning projects.
• Experienced handling large-scale datasets and advanced predictive modeling techniques.
• Previous exposure to the financial services domain is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical abilities with effective organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• A demonstrated eagerness for intellectual growth and continual learning.
• Detail-oriented with a structured, process-driven approach.
