About the Evisort AI Team

The Evisort AI team operates as a startup within Workday, focusing on Document Intelligence AI that powers Contract Lifecycle Management and Contract Intelligence products. Our pioneering AI deciphers contract language to streamline drafting, negotiation, review, approval, and contract management, enhancing speed, quality, and risk mitigation for business deals. Role Overview

As a Senior AI Engineer, you will be instrumental in creating customized user experiences leveraging advanced Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic development, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), knowledge graphs, personalized solutions, and predictive analytics. Collaboration with engineering peers will be key to delivering AI innovations throughout Workday's products, using diverse software and data engineering tools to train, deploy, and manage AI systems at scale. Your work will leverage Workday’s extensive computing resources and rich datasets to bring transformative benefits to customers.

Your focus will extend beyond feature delivery to continuous improvements concerning quality, scale, and security. Curiosity, a critical mindset that challenges existing methods, a product-oriented perspective, and strong ownership and teamwork abilities are essential to excel in this position.

Basic Qualifications

• Over 8 years of professional experience in software engineering and product development with a proven history of deploying and maintaining scalable production code.
• More than 3 years of experience integrating large foundational AI models and APIs into enterprise-facing products.
• At least 2 years practical experience with modern AI orchestration platforms such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or multi-agent frameworks, including applying advanced prompt engineering and agentic workflows to power functionalities like personalization and predictive analytics.
• Four or more years optimizing application performance, addressing constraints such as API latency, token management, and user interaction design.
• Over 4 years of hands-on experience deploying scalable, responsive systems on cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
• A strong product-first AI mindset emphasizing business impact, enhancing user experiences, and practical application of deep learning and large models.
• Expertise in system design with emphasis on reusable, robust application layers around AI models for predictability, error handling, and seamless interaction.
• Proficiency in rapid prototyping, model benchmarking, and automated evaluation metrics for retrieval quality and agentic system behavior.
• Experience using observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Sentry, or Datadog to monitor and troubleshoot live systems.
• Familiarity with experimentation platforms like LaunchDarkly to manage feature rollout, A/B testing, and phased decommissioning.
• Knowledge of data persistence and asynchronous processing technologies including relational databases (PostgreSQL), caching (Redis), and messaging queues (Celery, Kafka, SQS).
• Proven ability to write maintainable, secure, and well-tested code utilizing unit/integration tests and tools like SonarQube for dependency and security hygiene.
• Experience developing backend services and REST APIs primarily in Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Django.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with product managers, designers, and machine learning infrastructure teams.
• High autonomy with the ability to transform broad product goals into actionable and scalable engineering solutions.

Compensation

This role’s base salary range in Ireland is €91,300 to €136,900 per year, depending on experience and skills. It may also include bonuses and stock grants as part of the compensation package.

Work Environment and Flexible Work

Workday offers a flexible work model blending remote and in-person time. Employees are expected to spend approximately 50% of their time in-office or with customers quarterly, cultivating connections while maintaining flexibility to balance personal and professional demands.
