Senior AI Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and scale AI-driven products and solutions that provide tangible business impact. Your role involves translating machine learning and generative AI models into robust, enterprise-ready deployments integrated into existing workflows.

You will engage in the complete AI lifecycle from rapid prototyping and experimentation to deployment, ongoing monitoring, and iterative enhancements. Collaborating with data scientists, product owners, platform teams, and executives, you'll help define and deliver innovative AI-driven capabilities aimed at operational efficiency and favorable business results.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, deploy, and maintain AI, machine learning, and generative AI applications.
• Develop large language model (LLM) powered solutions integrated into enterprise processes.
• Build scalable APIs and AI services from concept to production-grade implementations.
• Work with data scientists to operationalize ML, NLP, and AI models including creating evaluation, orchestration, and retrieval pipelines.
• Contribute to data preprocessing, model tuning, and enhancing model performance.
• Implement MLOps practices, including model monitoring, versioning, experimental tracking, and performance oversight.
• Develop procedures for detecting model drift and ensure the reliability of deployed models.
• Advocate for responsible AI principles encompassing explainability, governance, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, engineering, security, and business units to translate requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Support best engineering practices, knowledge sharing, and mentor junior teammates.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success delivering AI/ML or software engineering products in production environments.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with data manipulation and analytics libraries/tools such as SQL, Pandas, and NumPy.
• Strong grasp of software development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
• Experience developing and deploying AI services with FastAPI, Flask, MLflow, or comparable frameworks.
• Hands-on development of LLM applications using frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Integration experience with foundation model APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere, or Mistral.
• Working knowledge of ML model deployment and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with vector or graph databases including FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, or Neo4j.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Technical Expertise

• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Understanding of deep learning architectures, transformers, and foundation models.
• Knowledge in NLP topics such as embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and language modeling.
• Exposure to computer vision technologies.
• Skills in prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, and evaluation methods.
• MLOps experience including governance, deployment, monitoring, and drift detection.
• Awareness of Responsible AI principles and AI governance frameworks.
• Experience working on Azure cloud platforms and building enterprise-scale AI systems.

Additional Details

• Prior experience in industries such as Oil & Gas, Energy, Trading, Shipping, or ETRM is advantageous.
• Familiarity with creating digital products in regulated settings emphasizing security, resilience, governance, and compliance is beneficial.
