About The Team

The Business Intelligence team supports a diverse clientele including financial institutions, corporations, universities, government bodies, executives, and business professionals by providing specialized services and solutions.

Role Overview

This senior role focuses on expanding Dow Jones' Business Intelligence offerings in the Middle East. Stationed in Dubai, the Strategic Account Manager will oversee large, key clients—primarily the top eight banks in the UAE—ensuring client retention and driving substantial revenue growth. The role encompasses managing the full sales cycle of Dow Jones’ Business Intelligence products and services with an emphasis on new business generation in the high-tier market segment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and nurture the current portfolio of strategic Business Intelligence clients, mainly the UAE's leading eight banks, to maintain relationships and drive contract growth.
• Identify, qualify, develop, and close complex new business opportunities within the Risk & Compliance product suite to meet sales targets.
• Diagnose client business and sales challenges to tailor appropriate Risk & Compliance solutions using advanced consultative sales techniques.
• Offer thought leadership influencing the strategic direction regarding brand positioning, product value propositions, and roadmap planning for Risk & Compliance offerings.
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership and marketing to align events, PR activities, branding, and communications to sales strategies.
• Build and leverage partnerships with external facilitators including technology consultancies that advise the market.

Candidate Profile

• Over seven years of experience selling to financial institutions and government agencies, specifically with a successful sales history involving the UAE’s top eight banks.
• Deep expertise in regional compliance regulations and extensive knowledge of available Risk and Compliance market solutions.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English, alongside degree-level education.
• Proven capability selling complex information and compliance solutions directly to senior executives (C-level).
• Strong influencing skills to gain consensus and commitment toward proposed Risk & Compliance products, advancing the sales process effectively.
• Competent in articulating and understanding the customer's challenges and requirements convincingly.
