About The Role
As the Director of Risk & Compliance, you will develop and implement operational strategies aimed at boosting revenue growth, enhancing customer engagement, and scaling specialized sales efforts throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, you will lead a team comprising sales managers and specialists to meet business objectives and increase brand visibility amid competitive market conditions. You will exercise autonomous judgment to address complex sales challenges, optimize territory plans, and build cross-functional collaboration with product, marketing, and business development teams.

The global team of expert researchers covers over 60 languages, maintaining rigorous standards to deliver the most accurate and comprehensive risk datasets available.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional operational plans to drive sales strategy, meet revenue targets, and grow market share in APAC.
- Lead and manage sales managers and representatives, overseeing recruitment, talent growth, and performance evaluation.
- Manage territory planning, pipeline oversight, and financial forecasting to align with business metrics.
- Handle complex sales and negotiation situations with innovative approaches to secure major client contracts.
- Work closely with regional and global marketing, product, and finance teams to refine pricing and streamline market strategies.
- Analyze market intelligence and competitor trends to protect accounts, identify opportunities, and address market risks.
- Represent Dow Jones at significant APAC industry events to bolster brand presence and foster executive client relationships.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in sales and sales leadership, with proven revenue achievement in information services, SaaS, or technology industries.
- Expertise in enterprise sales techniques, territory strategy, pipeline forecasting, and handling complex commercial negotiations.
- Demonstrated capability in creating operational sales plans, managing structured teams, and facilitating international cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with search technologies, digital information platforms, or anti-money laundering (AML) compliance solutions.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis to meet client and business demands.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or related field or equivalent experience.
