Role Overview
The organization seeks a driven and relationally focused Account Manager to join its Partner Sales team based in Wellington. This role involves overseeing and expanding a portfolio of reseller and partner accounts. The incumbent will identify growth opportunities, nurture strong customer connections, collaborate with vendors and internal teams, and ultimately help surpass sales goals and increase revenue. The position suits sales professionals passionate about building trusted partnerships and delivering business results within a dynamic technology environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and develop partner and reseller accounts throughout the Wellington area.
- Create and implement strategic account plans aimed at boosting revenue and profitability.
- Maintain consistent engagement with customers via regular outreach, meetings, and business evaluations.
- Establish and sustain solid relationships with critical customer stakeholders and decision makers.
- Spot new sales prospects and formulate approaches to enhance customer spending and market presence.
- Work closely with internal departments and vendors to tailor solutions for customers.
- Lead vendor-driven initiatives, promotional events, marketing efforts, and market entry campaigns.
- Monitor sales results, pipeline developments, evolving customer patterns, and competitor activities.
- Conduct frequent account assessments and produce detailed reports on account performance and areas for growth.
- Ensure excellent customer satisfaction by responding promptly and resolving issues efficiently.
- Engage in product, sales, and industry training to stay informed on technological solutions.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, processes, and health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Experience in Account Management, Business Development, Sales, or Customer Relationship Management.
- Track record of developing and sustaining effective customer relationships.
- Strong commercial insight with the capacity to recognize and capitalize on sales opportunities.
- Proficiency in communication, presentations, and managing various stakeholders.
- Competence in formulating account plans and managing multiple client relationships simultaneously.
- Demonstrated success in meeting sales and revenue objectives.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle competing priorities efficiently.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and sales analytics tools.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with vendors, customers, and team members.
- Self-driven, proactive, with a focus on achieving measurable results.
- Experience in IT, technology sectors, distribution, or channel sales is a significant advantage.
