As the Executive Director of Marketing for Asia Pacific, you will spearhead regional marketing strategies, tailor platform marketing efforts locally, and oversee the profit and loss for the marketing division across APAC. Your leadership will support Ingram Micro's ambition to be the IT industry's preferred partner by driving clear business results with effective marketing initiatives, managing performance metrics, and enhancing sales capabilities regionally. You will also serve as the key regional leader responsible for adapting and implementing the global Marketing Playbook and digital marketing products designed to accelerate growth via the Ingram Micro Xvantage platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Managing Directors and Chief Executives of nine countries (Australia, New Zealand, India, China, ASEAN/HK cluster) to align marketing strategies with business goals and global standards for customer acquisition, engagement, and demand generation.
- Lead and unify diverse multi-country marketing teams to foster consistency, elevate capabilities, and ensure shared achievements across culturally varied markets.
- Work alongside finance leadership to oversee marketing P&L performance, promoting sustainable growth through vendor and partner marketing programs.
- Develop strong partnerships with vendors across the region, aligning with global and regional marketing programs to co-create localized strategies that drive profitable growth.
- Identify regional opportunities for shared services to optimize efficiency and scalability in collaboration with global Marketing Centers of Excellence.
- Provide strategic marketing insights and solutions in leadership forums, ensuring compliance and ROI-focused business outcomes.
- Drive execution of country-level marketing strategies achieving KPIs around pipeline growth, incremental revenue, retention, upselling, and market expansion.
- Enhance brand equity and market presence across APAC, supporting country teams to build distinctive brand differentiation.
- Champion marketing operations excellence by adopting standardized automation, processes, systems, and MarTech tools while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Develop regional marketing talent through networking and professional growth opportunities to effectively support vendor and customer needs.
- Act as an agent of digital and marketing transformation, securing alignment and adoption of new initiatives across stakeholders and teams.
- Support brand visibility and influence by collaborating with global PR and social media teams to build media relationships and engage key opinion leaders and influencers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Over 15 years' experience in distribution, cloud, SaaS, technology, product, or services sectors, including at least 10 years in senior leadership roles managing teams.
- A well-established network of industry contacts and respected presence across the APAC region.
- Deep expertise in Channel and Corporate Marketing, especially in Digital Marketing, Demand Generation, platform businesses, and eCommerce.
- Strong commercial experience with competence in strategy, digital marketing, marketing intelligence, content creation, and packaging.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and inspire teams within a matrix organizational structure fostering cooperation and mutual respect.
- Financial acumen to manage marketing P&L with comfort collaborating on data analytics measuring marketing effectiveness and business outcomes.
- Proven excellence in Marketing Operations, ensuring governance and operational excellence.
- A change-driven mindset coupled with hands-on implementation skills, balancing strategic thinking with operational precision.
- Interest and readiness to thrive within a large, fast-moving international enterprise.
