About the Role

As a STARS Lead Officer at Securitas in Dublin, you will serve as a trusted and visible guardian in a fast-paced, complex environment. Your role is crucial in creating a secure, professional, and hospitable setting for clients, staff, and visitors. This position offers an opportunity to engage with a prestigious client company, working Monday to Friday on a salaried day shift basis.

Salary: €47,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all team members fully understand and adhere to security policies and procedures.
  • Verify team readiness daily, including proper uniforms and necessary equipment.
  • Provide or coordinate comprehensive training, identifying and addressing skill gaps.
  • Delegate responsibilities under supervision and ensure tasks are completed satisfactorily.
  • Respond to and report all incidents promptly.
  • Manage and monitor security equipment, reporting any defects following established protocols.
  • Offer guidance and support to security personnel as needed.
  • Handle initial responses to incidents, complaints, or concerns related to security and safety, escalating as necessary.
  • Assist in developing and enacting plans for service delivery improvement.
  • Uphold Securitas and client brand values by promoting a positive image at all times.
  • Maintain and update site documentation, including procedures, manuals, logs, and reports.
  • Provide administrative assistance to management and team members by compiling reports and minutes.
  • Keep accurate records of all activities and ensure timely communication within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Take initiative and work independently when required, supporting decision-making with accurate information.
  • Engage in upskilling team members and assist management with various requests.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of a high school diploma; exceptions possible based on experience.
  • At least five years’ experience in front-facing security, customer service, military, or law enforcement roles with a strong understanding of corporate front-of-house operations.
  • Completion of Securitas STARS training is preferred.
  • Documented supervisory experience of three years in security operations, service planning, or related areas is a plus.
  • Experience responding to security audits is desirable.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Must be capable of performing all essential functions independently and without direct supervision.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism when interacting with executives, authorities, staff, and the public in high-pressure situations.
  • Good sensory abilities including clear seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing for communication and observation purposes.
  • Capacity to multitask, occasionally performing physical movements like reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Lifting up to 10 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
  • Potential exposure to harsh weather or environments requiring protective equipment.
  • Responsibility for personal and others’ safety with the capacity to coach peers.
  • Handling confidential, sensitive information.
  • Willingness to work extended hours without prior notice and adapt schedules to meet operational demands.
