Role Overview

Join Securitas as a trusted Corporate Security Officer based in Dublin 18, where your primary responsibility will be to safeguard people, property, and provide peace of mind. This role involves maintaining a secure, professional, and welcoming environment for clients, employees, and visitors in a dynamic setting.

Work Schedule and Compensation

The position requires a minimum of 36 hours a week with a fully flexible schedule from Monday to Sunday. The hourly wage is €20.33 plus a €20.00 night allowance and Sunday premium, equating to a composite salary of approximately €50,270.26 based on a 42-hour weekly roster.

Key Responsibilities

• Prevent unauthorized site access, monitor fire and intruder alarms, and operate CCTV systems as needed.
• Conduct both internal and external security patrols as per assignment instructions.
• Perform routine security equipment testing and manage keys, including locking and unlocking duties.
• Maintain equipment according to customer and company guidelines, and keep detailed logbooks and records.
• Issue visitor and contractor passes and manage lost property according to stipulated procedures.
• Support health and safety by providing information and guidance to staff, visitors, and contractors while ensuring the premises are safeguarded.
• Follow health and safety protocols rigorously, reporting faults, hazards, and unsafe practices promptly.
• Ensure walkways and emergency exits remain unobstructed and investigate fire alarm causes.
• Report potential property risks such as loss, theft, damage, or vandalism and manage environmental factors like lighting and window closures during patrols.
• Operate radios, pagers, and timing devices; conduct initial investigations and report incidents and suspicious activities verbally and in writing.
• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing problems faced by staff and visitors and maintaining professional appearance and conduct.
• Answer telephone calls professionally in line with assignment guidelines.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in practices and processes.
• Comply with company policies including check-ins at shift start, timely paperwork, handovers, and any additional duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a valid PSA Licence (Number: 00352).
• Strong observational capability with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with fluency in English.
• Ability to remain composed and focused under pressure.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights and weekends.
• Competent computer skills.
• Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Possession of own transport and a full driver's licence is considered beneficial.
