Security Solutions Estimator

About the Role

We seek a committed and proactive Security Solutions Estimator to join our team full-time. This role serves as a vital link between junior and senior estimating professionals, focusing on comprehensive cost analysis for extensive requests for proposals (RFPs), new greenfield projects, and sophisticated assignments involving programmatic clients. Your technical expertise and collaborative spirit will help deliver precise estimates and solutions that support major verticals such as healthcare, financial institutions, data centers, utilities, and educational facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed and accurate cost projections for complex projects and RFPs including global accounts.
• Bridge junior and senior estimator responsibilities by managing medium to large-scale opportunities with programmatic clients.
• Interpret project specifications, drawings, and technical scope documents to evaluate risks and deliverables.
• Work closely with sales, engineering, procurement, and project management teams to ensure the estimates are accurate in terms of costs, resources, and timelines.
• Assess project scope, blueprints, and specifications to impact pricing and project viability decisively.
• Participate in on-site evaluations, pre-bid meetings, and technical consultations.
• Compile precise bills of materials enabling Account Executives to source required pricing for materials, labor, and services.
• Identify project scope gaps, risks, and opportunities to apply value engineering principles.
• Collaborate with installation teams to validate estimate feasibility and accuracy.
• Stay informed on industry standards, security technologies, regulations, and product pricing.
• Prepare and present thorough proposals to internal teams and external clients.

Qualifications and Experience

• Between 3 and 5 years' experience with estimating, project management, or system design specifically in electronic physical security systems such as access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection.
• Experience managing large-scale RFPs, greenfield projects, and serving programmatic customers.
• Familiarity with market sectors such as healthcare, data centers, government, education, and banking industries.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, documents, and technical scopes accurately.
• Proficient in estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and collaboration tools for project management.
• Knowledge of materials, labor cost estimation, and subcontractor coordination within physical security systems.
• Capacity to identify project risks, recommend value-engineering solutions, and meet profitability targets.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working smoothly with teams, clients, and suppliers.
• A proactive approach geared towards continuous skill development and delivering high-quality results.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on field experience is a plus.
• Bilingual language skills are advantageous.
• Eligibility to obtain reliability and security government clearances is beneficial.
