Job description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team at Puriton. This role offers a competitive pay rate of A314.58 per hour, with a demanding schedule consisting of 42 hours per week across 12-hour shifts organized on a 4 on, 4 off rotation, covering days, nights, and weekends. Role Responsibilities
- Serve as a professional security representative, ensuring the safety of staff, visitors, contractors, property, and information.
- Welcome and assist all personnel and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conduct routine safety and security patrols in compliance with site regulations and procedures.
- Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, manage site access, keys, passes, and handle lost property effectively.
- Enforce site rules including traffic and parking regulations to maintain order.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all activities, incidents, and equipment usage.
- Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, searches, and fire response protocols.
- Promote and uphold health and safety standards, reporting hazards and ensuring emergency routes remain unobstructed.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold a valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence before commencing operational shifts.
- Possess a valid driving licence.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work across various shifts including days, nights, and weekends.
- Have the eligibility to work in the UK with at least five years of verifiable residency.
- Exhibit strong communication skills both written and spoken in English.
