Overview
Join Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services as a Security Officer to safeguard client properties, personnel, and valuables by adhering strictly to site-specific Assignment Instructions (AIs) and any updates. Your role will be instrumental in meeting or exceeding key performance indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), thus supporting contract retention and continuously developing your skills through additional training.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain strict compliance with all relevant policies, legal, and regulatory requirements enforced by the Security Account Manager and UK laws.
- Execute all site-specific duties detailed in Assignment Instructions diligently and thoroughly.
- Regularly review Assignment Instructions to stay informed of any changes and proactively recommend service improvements.
- Hold and display a frontline security licence (either Security Guarding or Door Supervision) and the necessary CCTV PSS SIA Licence as required by the client. Complete any additional mandatory contractual courses.
- Follow health, safety, and legal protocols thoroughly without unnecessary resistance.
- Work methodically and maintain orderliness in job execution.
Training & Development
- Complete all required competency training successfully.
- Engage in further training initiatives for ongoing personal and professional growth as directed.
- Utilize technology to accomplish objectives and continuously enhance job expertise.
- Ensure timely renewal of your licenses at least 16 weeks prior to expiry.
Security and Health & Safety Vigilance
- Identify and promptly report any health and safety hazards on-site.
- Remain vigilant to potential threats or changes in the working environment and take appropriate preventive action.
- Exercise sound judgment and seek assistance if situations escalate.
- Maintain professionalism when facing challenging scenarios or customers.
- Document incidents promptly and accurately in a detailed notebook for incident reporting.
- Adhere to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and its clients.
- Ensure check calls are made punctually as per Assignment Instructions.
- Report all incidents immediately to emergency services and the Communication Centre.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in a security role is essential.
- Possession of a valid SIA Licence is mandatory.
