Role Summary

We seek a seasoned Security Architect to spearhead the design and deployment of secure technology infrastructures within complex enterprise environments. The role spans both on-premises and cloud platforms, requiring oversight of security architecture development, risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and embedding security throughout project lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect security solutions aligned with business goals, industry best practices, and security strategies.
• Maintain and develop security reference architectures, frameworks, and standards.
• Evaluate current security controls and suggest enhancements to improve organizational security posture.
• Analyze solution designs for security risks and embed suitable controls.
• Conduct thorough security and vulnerability assessments and risk analyses to address threats.
• Review effectiveness of security controls across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Provide architectural guidance on security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and network security tools.
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, infrastructure teams, and security units to integrate security into technology delivery.
• Investigate security incidents, perform technical analyses, and recommend remedial actions.
• Develop and maintain incident response, disaster recovery plans, and participate in security exercises.
• Support creation and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards for security practices.
• Review project outputs providing ongoing security architecture advice.
• Research new security threats and technologies, recommending improvements.
• Mentor and share knowledge with other security professionals.
• Promote awareness of security best practices throughout the organization.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven expertise as a Security Architect or senior cybersecurity role.
• Experienced in designing enterprise-wide security architectures.
• Strong knowledge of principles, standards, and best practices in security architecture.
• Hands-on experience implementing security controls in both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Skilled in security assessments, vulnerability reviews, and risk evaluations.
• Competent in reviewing and upgrading established security frameworks.
• Extensive knowledge of network security elements, including firewalls and VPNs.
• Ability to integrate security into technology projects and deliverables.
• Proficient in incident response processes including investigation and remediation.
• Understanding disaster recovery and security resilience concepts.
• Experience formulating security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Awareness of regulatory and compliance security obligations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work across diverse teams.
