Role Summary
The Commercial Director for Oracle will spearhead commercial planning, sales expansion, and business growth relating to Oracle products and services. This leadership role involves pinpointing new business avenues, maintaining key client relationships, conducting intricate commercial negotiations, and working closely with delivery and technology teams to achieve success.
Key Duties
- Design and implement sales and commercial strategies focused on Oracle solutions.
- Stimulate revenue and profit growth across Oracle-related services.
- Manage sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and monitor sales effectiveness.
- Spot market trends and emerging Oracle technologies.
- Forge and nurture relationships with enterprise clients, leading major bids and strategic opportunities.
- Formulate account expansion strategies for current Oracle customers and collaborate with Oracle account teams to develop fresh business prospects.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, understanding challenges and aligning Oracle solutions accordingly.
- Manage bids including RFP, RFQ, and tenders; develop pricing models and negotiate contracts ensuring competitive proposals aligned with corporate goals.
- Maintain strong alliances with Oracle and other strategic partners, overseeing partnerships and alliance activities to enhance growth opportunities.
- Meet revenue and margin objectives, oversee financial forecasting, and contribute to budgeting and strategic planning.
Required Experience and Skills
- 10+ years in enterprise software sales, consulting, or commercial leadership.
- Proven expertise in selling Oracle solutions including Cloud, ERP, HCM, SCM, EPM, Database, or OCI.
- Successful track record in revenue target achievement and handling complex commercial negotiations for large deals.
- Experience working with enterprise and public-sector clients.
- Strong strategic, commercial, and financial acumen including contract negotiation, deal structuring, and price modeling.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, leadership, and team management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Finance, or a related field.
- MBA is an advantage.
- Relevant Oracle certifications are beneficial.
- Background in consulting or professional services is preferred.
