Scaffolding Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Scaffolding Manager to oversee and direct the operational and commercial aspects of a large-scale scaffolding enterprise based in Qatar. This senior leadership position entails comprehensive responsibility for scaffolding activities and inventory across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct scaffolding operations within Oil & Gas, petrochemical, industrial, infrastructure, and construction projects.
• Manage operational, commercial, and financial facets of the department including revenue, expenditures, utilization rates, and profitability.
• Strategically plan and optimize the allocation of scaffolding manpower, supervisors, inspectors, materials, and equipment.
• Take full accountability for the scaffolding inventory ensuring its optimal use and profitability.
• Supervise project stages such as mobilization, execution, productivity, cost control, demobilization, and redeployment of resources.
• Oversee departmental profit and loss statements, identifying areas for enhanced margins, efficiency, and rental income.
• Contribute to tendering and estimating processes by providing insights on manpower, materials, productivity levels, and execution strategies.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, and pinpoint new business opportunities in scaffolding rental, material supply, installation, and dismantling.
• Ensure strict adherence to QHSE regulations, inspections, and scaffolding safety standards.
• Lead and mentor supervisors and frontline scaffolding teams to foster professional development and operational excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred; equivalent technical certifications in scaffolding, construction, or project management will also be considered.
• Between 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in scaffolding operations.
• Solid experience within Oil & Gas, petrochemical, industrial construction or maintenance, and major construction projects.
• Proven expertise in managing a large scaffolding workforce and significant scaffold inventory.
• Demonstrated skills in project execution, manpower allocation, and material usage optimization.
• Strong commercial acumen with P&L management experience.
• Experience contributing to tendering, estimating, and pricing processes is highly valued.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scaffolding erection, alteration, dismantling, inspection, and rental operations.
• Excellent leadership, client management, and negotiation abilities.
• A capability to blend strategic leadership with a practical, hands-on field approach.
