Role Overview

We are looking for a Salesforce Architect to take charge of designing and delivering comprehensive Salesforce-based solutions. This role entails acting as the main technical authority, setting architectural standards, guiding cross-functional teams including development, integration, and data migration to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable. The role combines technical leadership with client advisory, governance, and mentoring team leads. Candidates should have deep Salesforce experience with broad architecture knowledge spanning integrations, data, security, and DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end solution architecture across all Salesforce clouds and related systems focusing on scalability, maintainability, security, and optimal performance.
• Establish and enforce technical governance, coding standards, design patterns, and review processes; serve as the ultimate design authority for changes.
• Generate essential architectural documents such as solution blueprints, integration diagrams, data models, security models, and sequence flows, leveraging input from team leads.
• Apply an 80:20 principle to balance configuration and custom development, ensuring alignment with business and compliance goals.
• Evaluate business requirements and map solutions including security and sharing models alongside functional teams.
• Assess integration strategies with integration teams covering API-led, event-driven, batch, and file-based approaches including non-functional attributes.
• Collaborate on data architecture reviews focusing on data classifications, migration strategies, and quality controls.
• Lead technical workshops and design sessions, translating requirements into architectural designs and detailed specifications.
• Guide development teams throughout build, testing, deployment, and post-go-live phases.
• Forecast and mitigate technical risks and dependencies, driving escalation and resolution.
• Manage release strategies and environment handling (sandboxes, pipelines, branching, Salesforce DX) facilitating continuous integration and delivery with quality checkpoints.
• Advise stakeholders on platform roadmaps ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Provide clear communication on constraints, trade-offs, and collaborate on alternative solutions offering significant value.
• Enable stakeholders and teams through whiteboarding, quick proof-of-concept demonstrations, and knowledge sharing.
• Coach senior developers and team leads, review complex designs, and foster technical competency.
• Contribute to team assets such as playbooks and accelerators; lead knowledge exchange forums.
• Support the development of skills matrices and resource planning aligned with project demands.
• Participate in pre-sales and account expansion efforts by defining solution strategies, estimating efforts, and outlining risks and assumptions.
• Evaluate and recommend complementary technologies and applications enhancing solution differentiation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of experience delivering enterprise software, with at least 8 years on Salesforce projects including presales and medium to large scale implementations.
• Salesforce Architect certifications such as System Architect or Application Architect.
• Strong ability to quickly understand complex client environments and define future-state solutions and roadmaps.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Salesforce platform architecture involving multi-cloud solutions, security, sharing strategies, data modeling, Apex/Lightning Web Components practices, and performance considerations.
• Expertise in DevOps and release management using Salesforce DX, source-driven development, pipelines, and quality assurance gates.
• Deep familiarity with integration patterns including MuleSoft, API-led connectivity, event-driven and batch processing.
• Robust understanding of software engineering principles such as object-oriented design, design patterns, relational and NoSQL databases, and testing methodologies.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills for technical writing, workshops, and executive stakeholder interactions.
• Proven leadership abilities in managing multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating across stakeholder groups.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in IT services or consulting environments.
• Additional Salesforce certifications (OmniStudio, Industries/Public Sector Solutions, Integrations, JavaScript Developer).
• MuleSoft certification or related integration expertise.
• Enterprise architecture certifications like TOGAF or cloud certifications for AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Apex, Java, LWC, JavaScript, HTML/CSS is beneficial.
• Prior exposure to public sector or regulated projects.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.
