About the Role and Company
We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer with extensive experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS Cloud technologies. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and managing scalable backend systems tailored for the Banking and Financial Services sector. This position involves working with cloud-native applications, API development, database management, and continuous integration/continuous deployment workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Core Java (JDK 17) and Spring Boot framework.
- Design and implement Microservices architectures adhering to best industry practices.
- Create and consume RESTful APIs for seamless integration and communication.
- Deploy and manage applications in AWS Cloud, utilizing EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, IAM, and API Gateway services.
- Manage containerized applications with Docker and ensure smooth operations.
- Write efficient Unix/Linux shell scripts to support automation and system tasks.
- Utilize strong SQL expertise to work with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
- Participate in DevOps workflows using CI/CD tools and version control systems like GitHub/GitLab.
- Apply code quality tools such as SonarQube and implement version control best practices.
- Support performance testing using tools like JMeter and assist automation efforts with frameworks such as Playwright.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient Core Java development experience specifically with JDK 17.
- Hands-on knowledge in Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Microservices design.
- Experience building and working with RESTful API services.
- Solid understanding and practical expertise with key AWS Cloud components including compute, storage, monitoring, security, and API management.
- Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration.
- Competence in Unix/Linux shell scripting.
- Strong command over SQL and working knowledge with PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS.
- Experience using CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as GitHub or GitLab.
- Exposure to code quality and test automation tools like SonarQube, JMeter, and Playwright.
- Hands-on experience specifically within the Banking and Financial Services Industry (BFSI).
