Key Responsibilities
- Actively seek, develop, and convert new business opportunities to support hotel growth.
- Conduct sales calls, client visits, presentations, site inspections, and business meetings regularly.
- Expand the hotel’s client base by acquiring new accounts continually.
- Promote accommodations, including rooms and long-stay options, as well as food and beverage, meeting spaces, events, and other services.
- Surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets.
- Identify avenues to enhance room nights, average rates, total revenue, and account production.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline with diligent follow-up on leads and enquiries.
- Participate in sales missions, trade shows, networking events, and exhibitions to further business development.
- Manage and nurture a portfolio comprising corporate, government, leisure, travel trade, MICE, and other key clients.
- Build long-lasting, productive relationships with decision-makers and business partners.
- Review accounts intermittently for growth opportunities; maintain updated records in the CRM system.
- Take corrective measures on underperforming accounts and foster repeat business.
- Target corporate and MICE segments actively by handling inquiries, preparing proposals and contracts, negotiating terms, and coordinating group needs accurately.
- Support the hotel’s revenue objectives by aligning sales strategies with market trends, pricing, and competitor analysis.
- Provide excellent client service from initial contact to post-event follow-up, addressing concerns promptly and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Maintain detailed sales records and reports, assist in forecasting, and liaise with internal departments such as Reservations, Revenue Management, Front Office, F&B, Events, Finance, and Operations.
- Collaborate with marketing efforts and regional sales resources, providing market intelligence to sales leadership.
- Continuously monitor the local market, competitors, and emerging opportunities in Doha to inform sales strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline preferred.
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in hotel sales, ideally within branded or international hotel settings.
- Proven expertise in corporate, MICE, government, leisure, travel trade, or group sales sectors.
- Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and generating new business.
- Insight into the Doha and Qatar corporate and hospitality landscape is advantageous.
- Experience managing corporate accounts and fostering long-term client relationships.
- Familiarity with proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and commercial terms within hotel operations.
- Knowledge of hotel sales processes, revenue management principles, and market segmentation.
- Competence in CRM systems, Opera, or comparable hotel management software is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
