Responsibilities
- Conduct strategic outbound prospecting via email, calls, LinkedIn, social selling, databases, and other channels to build a quality sales pipeline.
- Research and identify key decision-makers and buying committees within target accounts using structured account and persona analysis.
- Present WebEngage’s SaaS offering through tailored, value-driven outreach aligned with prospect priorities, challenges, and industry context.
- Manage lead qualification and discovery by evaluating business needs, ideal customer profile fit, use cases, intent, budget, authority, and buying timelines to assess readiness to buy.
- Prioritize and qualify incoming and outgoing leads, ensuring promising opportunities are routed effectively to the Sales team while nurturing or disqualifying low-fit prospects.
- Apply consultative discovery techniques to reveal pain points, business goals, current solutions, urgency, and potential commercial opportunities.
- Develop relationships with prospects and convert qualified interactions into sales-ready leads for Account Executives.
- Maintain CRM hygiene, follow-ups, lead lifecycle management, and re-engagement efforts to ensure accurate qualification and pipeline visibility.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to refine ideal customer profile, lead scoring, targeting, messaging, and pipeline-building tactics.
- Analyze funnel metrics and qualification data to identify conversion gaps, enhance lead quality, and boost sales efficiency.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for activity, qualification, meetings, and pipeline creation.
Requirements
- Two to four years of relevant experience in B2B Business Development, Sales Development, Inside Sales, or Lead Generation, ideally in SaaS or MarTech.
- At least two to three years working in the Indian market, understanding B2B purchasing behaviors and decision-making structures.
- Proven ability in lead qualification, discovery, outbound prospecting, pipeline development, and opportunity creation.
- Strong knowledge of ideal customer profile qualification, lead scoring, buyer intent assessment, objection handling, and evaluating sales readiness.
- Practical experience with tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Outreach, Klenty, or similar sales engagement platforms.
- Proficient in CRM software such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Pipedrive.
- Excellent communication, consultative selling, analytical thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Highly proactive, commercially savvy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-oriented SaaS environment.
