Job description

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As an RPAS Pilot working with Aviation Careers Australia, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Infravision's proprietary construction machinery, including drones and other equipment used in field robotics and construction. Your duties include piloting drones across various weight classes, including those above 25kg, for both Australian and international construction projects. You will operate unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in dynamic construction settings, prioritizing safety and mission success.

Additionally, you will be expected to hold or obtain a High Risk Work License in Dogging and Basic Rigging to perform lifting, load directing, and rope pulling tasks associated with transmission line construction. All operations under your supervision must comply with CASA legislation and relevant workplace health, safety, and environment (WHSE) regulations.

Your role also encompasses construction support functions such as manual handling, machine operation, and logistical site assistance. The position may involve working in remote locations across states and internationally, participating in daily site meetings, preparing equipment and work plans, and actively identifying and mitigating workplace hazards. Flexibility is required to work on varied fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) or drive-in, drive-out (DIDO) roster cycles in alignment with project demands.

Office-Based Duties

You will contribute to project planning and preparation from an office setting, review and help develop operational documentation, maintain current competencies through training, and perform administrative tasks using Infravision's software tools. Cooperative efforts with other business units to support organizational objectives are also expected.
