Role Overview

The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring guest rooms are clean, well-prepared, and welcoming in alignment with LBA and brand standards. This role includes organizing supplies, maintaining guest privacy, and delivering courteous and professional service to guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean vacant and occupied guest rooms while meeting established quality and productivity benchmarks.
• Make beds, change linens and towels, clean bathrooms, dust, vacuum, empty trash, and restock guest amenities.
• Follow housekeeping procedures, adhere to training checklists, comply with sanitation requirements, and participate in scheduled deep-cleanings.
• Handle and arrange linens, cleaning supplies, chemicals, and housekeeping equipment correctly.
• Inspect rooms to ensure cleanliness and promptly report any maintenance issues, safety concerns, damages, or inconsistencies.
• Respond quickly and politely to guest inquiries or requests.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining public spaces, including restrooms, stairwells, breakrooms, and back-of-house areas as assigned.
• Protect guest privacy and abide by all safety, security, key control, and emergency protocols.
• Utilize required hotel management and communication systems such as Quore or Hotel Effectiveness.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance that aligns with uniform and grooming guidelines.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned based on training and ability.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles within hotels, hospitals, residential, or care facility settings is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be reliable, trustworthy, detail-focused, and dedicated to providing excellent guest service.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively, follow established protocols, and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Comfortable learning and using job-specific technology and maintaining professional communication with guests and staff.

Physical and Scheduling Requirements

• Capable of standing and walking for long periods; bending, stretching, reaching, crawling, and kneeling; lifting or carrying up to 30 pounds; and pushing or pulling up to 60 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• This on-site role may require working varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
