Position Overview
WPS seeks a skilled Roofer to join their Responsive Maintenance team focused on social housing repairs in Barnsley. The role involves performing daily roofing repairs and general maintenance on occupied social housing properties while upholding high standards of safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform prompt roofing repair and maintenance work across social housing residences.
- Conduct thorough roof inspections, diagnose faults, and execute corrective repairs.
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety protocols, safeguarding policies, and company guidelines.
- Maintain clear communication with schedulers, supervisors, and occupied property residents.
- Record job details and materials used efficiently via handheld or PDA devices.
- Collaborate effectively with other tradespeople as needed.
- Provide a professional and customer-centric service in homes currently occupied by residents.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrable roofing experience, preferably within social housing or responsive maintenance sectors.
- Possession of NVQ Level 2 in Roofing or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.
- Holds a valid full UK driving licence.
- Experience operating safely within occupied properties is essential.
- Strong familiarity with Health & Safety standards applicable to roofing work.
- Dependable, professional, and oriented towards excellent customer care.
