Role Overview
Wates Group is seeking a skilled Roofer to join its Responsive Maintenance team, focusing on social housing properties in Derbyshire. The position involves performing daily roofing repairs and upkeep within inhabited residential units, emphasizing superior quality, safety, and client service.
Key Duties
- Perform responsive maintenance and repair work on roofing across social housing properties.
- Conduct roof inspections, identify faults, and carry out necessary remedial actions.
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety, safeguarding protocols, and company requirements.
- Maintain clear communication with schedulers, supervisors, and residents.
- Accurately record job details and materials used through handheld or PDA devices.
- Collaborate with other trade professionals when appropriate.
- Provide a professional and customer-oriented service within occupied homes.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrable experience as a Roofer, preferably in social housing or responsive maintenance contexts.
- Possession of NVQ Level 2 in Roofing or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.
- Hold a valid full UK driving licence.
- Prior experience working safely within occupied homes.
- Comprehensive understanding of Health & Safety standards relevant to roofing work.
- Dependable, professional attitude with a strong focus on customer care.
