Electrician

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our Responsive Maintenance team, supporting a longstanding social housing client. This permanent position offers stable employment, excellent backing, and the chance to operate in a respected and resident-focused setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical repairs, preventive maintenance, and diagnose faults in occupied social housing and domestic properties.
• Conduct electrical testing, inspections, and implement remedial actions as necessary.
• Maintain professionalism and respect when working inside residents' homes.
• Complete all required job documentation and utilize handheld devices as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all current electrical regulations and health and safety standards.

Mandatory Qualifications and Skills

• Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
• Possess an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation.
• Knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Qualified in 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent.
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication abilities and commitment to excellent customer service.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within social housing or domestic environments.
• Background in responsive maintenance roles.
• Comfortable and familiar with working in occupied residential premises.
