Building Bid Manager - Advanced Manufacturing & Data Centres

Role Overview

We are searching for an experienced Construction Bid Manager, ideally with experience in bidding for data centre projects or similarly sophisticated high-technology construction environments. This permanent role, based in Sunderland, requires a professional skilled at uniting teams to develop clear, compelling, and successful proposals. You will lead the full lifecycle of bidding activities, emphasizing collaboration, curiosity, and insightful challenge to drive superior results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead every bid process stage including capture planning, solution development, quality response, commercial and pricing strategies, and presentation delivery from initial engagement to final submission.
• Craft narratives that highlight key client concerns and communicate methodologies clearly and effectively.
• Integrate commercial, operational, and technical inputs into cohesive proposals aligned with a well-defined win strategy.
• Collaborate extensively with colleagues from different departments to bring focus and structure to bids ensuring comprehensive coverage and alignment.
• Support operational teams in meeting governance requirements during PCSA/ECI stages on projects valued up to approximately £150 million, workload permitting.
• Travel and work at other company locations such as London as necessary to support bid development, governance management, or client and designer engagement.
