About the Position
This permanent role is based at the Mayne depot in Bowen Hills, Brisbane. Presentation Attendants are responsible for cleaning and preparing City Network rolling stock and maintenance equipment to meet Queensland Rail’s standards. The role ensures customers enjoy a safe and welcoming travel experience.
You will work on a 24/7 shift rotation over a four-week cycle, performing tasks such as cleaning the interiors of train carriages—including emptying restrooms—cleaning locomotive windscreens, and eliminating external graffiti with pressure washers and chemical agents.
Key Duties
- Carry out cleaning duties, including graffiti removal, according to directions and guidelines.
- Carefully use cleaning products in compliance with Material Safety Data Sheets and instructions.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors in person, via telephone, and over radio; maintain accurate records like logbooks, check sheets, and timecards.
- Deliver excellent customer service by adhering to quality standards and established cleaning procedures.
- Ensure all cleaning operations align with Queensland Rail’s Environmental Management System.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate productively within a team environment.
- Proficient knowledge of cleaning methods, appropriate product application, and safety practices.
- Understanding of quality improvement initiatives, workplace health and safety regulations, and environmental management principles.
- Strong communication skills, capable of building effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules and objectives.
Additional Information
- This position offers a starting base salary of $66,000 annually, with additional weekend shift penalties and superannuation contributions up to 12.75%.
