Job description
Overview
This position is for a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use McDonald’s branding, separate from McDonald’s USA. Employment decisions and management are handled solely by the franchisee.
Role Summary
The General Manager is charged with overseeing a profitable restaurant operation while ensuring adherence to McDonald’s high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This leadership role involves collaborating with senior management to establish and pursue operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of Department Managers by setting goals, monitoring progress, and providing coaching to improve departmental performance.
- Recruit and develop management staff including Department and Shift Managers to maintain a capable leadership team.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Manager, particularly managing high-volume restaurant sites.
- Background in quick service restaurants is highly preferred; hospitality or retail management experience is also relevant.
- Must be at least 18 years old for managerial roles.
