Role Overview
The Resource Assistant plays a crucial role in providing administrative support to Resource Coordinators involved with Assets, Materials & Services, and Products. This role entails forecasting future resource needs based on upcoming jobs, consolidating demand, and optimizing material requirements planning to fulfill business requirements while controlling inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor job schedules through planning systems and coordinate the mobilization, demobilization, and transfers of equipment between sites.
- Assist resource planning by forecasting future demands and optimizing inventory levels.
- Maintain precise and updated data entries within business management systems.
- Collaborate with Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Resource Coordinators to guarantee timely availability of equipment and materials.
- Manage necessary permits, transportation documentation, and insurance records to ensure compliance and smooth operations.
- Support processes related to fixed asset tracking, reconciliation, and inventory control.
- Produce regular reports and maintain comprehensive and accurate records of resources and assets.
- Ensure full adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in resource management, asset coordination, logistics, supply chain, inventory management, or operational support, preferably in oil and gas, energy, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
- Solid knowledge of resource planning, inventory control, asset coordination, and logistic operations.
- Proficiency in SAP, ERP software, and other resource management tools.
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and data reporting, capable of performing trend analysis and supporting decision-making processes.
- Experience in handling equipment mobilization, transportation logistics, asset tracking, and optimizing inventory.
- Understanding of compliance standards including permits, hazardous materials documentation, and operational record maintenance.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving abilities, and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and aptitude for managing stakeholder relationships across various departments including Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and Service Delivery.
- Experience working in dynamic, multicultural, and operational work environments, ideally within the energy, oil and gas, manufacturing, or industrial industries.
