Rehab Enterprises is an independent voluntary organisation with over 70 years of experience dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities and their families. Serving more than 12,000 people, the organisation empowers service users by fostering confidence, skills development, and self-belief to help them achieve their goals.
About the Role
This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract based at the Longford Autism Day Service in Longford. The Relief Programmes Facilitator reports to the Community Service Manager through the Programmes Supervisor and plays a critical role in helping service users choose and participate in person-centred programmes. These programmes focus on independent living, personal development, and leisure activities based on a quality-of-life framework.
Responsibilities
- Act as a key worker to facilitate the Person Centred Planning process, identifying individual goals and support needs while maintaining accurate records.
- Design, develop, and deliver tailored person-centred programmes aligned with service users' needs and goals.
- Enable individuals and groups to access community activities, coordinating with relevant teams and external entities to ensure comprehensive support.
- Work independently as a lone worker while maintaining communication with the team and other stakeholders for optimal service delivery.
- Adhere strictly to all organisational policies, procedures, and administrative requirements.
- Promote independence and community integration for service users, liaising with community resources to facilitate participation in accessible activities.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and housekeeping, including ensuring safe client transportation compliance.
- Ensure all interactions with service users uphold professionalism, dignity, and respect, reporting concerns appropriately.
Requirements
- At least one year of relevant experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, including facilitating person-centred plans and providing support in independent living skills and community integration.
- Experience in lone working and community support aligned with New Directions guidelines.
- Proven background supporting adults with Autism, Mental Health conditions, physical disabilities, and non-verbal communication needs.
- Strong interest and experience in providing programmes catering to individuals with mental health challenges.
- Knowledge of health, safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards in a service context.
- Ability to promote self-advocacy among service users.
- Flexible availability, including occasional evening work, to meet operational demands.
- Desirable experience in supporting service users in developing work opportunities.
- Full driving licence is essential due to travel requirements.
- Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Social Care or equivalent; third-level qualification in Health & Social Care is preferred.
- Programme facilitation and client handling experience are advantageous.
- Candidates must provide a police clearance certificate for any country they have lived in prior to moving to Ireland.

Salary & Benefits
The position offers €16.37 per hour (pro rata) starting at salary point 1 (€33,217.35 annually).
