Role Overview
The Community Support Worker role is a permanent, 39-hour per week position based at Manor West Hub, Tralee, County Kerry. The primary purpose is to deliver tailored community support to individuals with intellectual, physical, and mental health needs. This includes facilitating social and learning opportunities, promoting community integration, and providing both individual and group support within the locality.
Key Duties
- Design, implement, monitor, and evaluate educational, recreational, and occupational community-based programs for service users.
- Utilize current research to ensure best practices aimed at enhancing quality of life.
- Collaborate with families, multidisciplinary teams, and community personnel to secure accessible activities and resources for clients.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum qualification of QQI Level 5 in Social Care or equivalent.
- Possession of a full clean driver's license.
- Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual, physical, and mental health challenges.
- Familiarity with local community resources is highly advantageous.
Additional Information
Salary ranges from €31,561.56 (Point 1) to €43,761.06 (Point 11) on a pro-rata basis, negotiable based on experience and qualifications. The employment contract is subject to change in line with evolving service needs.
