Role Purpose
The Programme Supervisor will promote and facilitate independent living, community integration, personal growth, and employment opportunities for service users. This position is based at the Bantry Physical & Sensory Resource Centre in County Cork. The supervisor will oversee staff and support the Manager in developing and delivering customer-focused, cost-effective community services. This includes facilitating individualized programs and activities aligned with HSE New Directions policy and guidelines. Travel within Galway city and county may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain trusting relationships with service users to identify their goals, strengths, and needs.
- Provide accessible information about community supports, ensuring that all activities and supports are monitored and paced appropriately for sustainability.
- Advocate on behalf of service users and promote their self-advocacy in interactions with families, the HSE, and community groups.
- Supervise staff and assist in the development and implementation of high-quality, customer-focused services.
- Manage challenging behaviors effectively to support service users.
Qualifications and Experience
- Third-level graduate qualification in health and social care or an equivalent field.
- At least two years’ experience working with adults with disabilities.
- Strong people management capabilities, including demonstrated experience in leading and motivating teams.
- Competence in managing behaviors that may cause concern.
Additional Information
The position is a Specific Purpose Contract for 39 hours per week based in Bantry, Co. Cork. Salary ranges from €39,903.36 (starting point) to €57,310.33 (point 16), pro-rated and negotiable based on experience and qualifications. The closing date for applications is Friday, 18th September 2025.
