Role Overview

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our casual pool at Trentham village. This role involves contributing to a quality aged care environment that prioritises resident-directed care and enhances the quality of life for residents, many of whom stay long term.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage residents' clinical and end-of-life care daily needs.
• Develop and adhere to long-term care plans including clinical assessments.
• Assume responsibility for the care centre during assigned shifts and make informed clinical decisions.
• Provide planned nursing care and monitor progress in collaboration with residents and their families.
• Guide and direct caregiving staff during shifts.
• Establish and maintain trusting relationships with residents and their families.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Current New Zealand nursing registration and valid Practicing Certificate.
• Strong interest and understanding of care for older adults within a retirement village setting.
• Proven leadership skills, ability to stay calm under pressure, and emotional resilience.
• Effective communication skills to engage with residents, families, and team members from diverse backgrounds.

Additional Information

• This is a casual position with work allocated 'as and when required.'
• Weekend work attracts additional penal hourly rates.
• Uniforms are provided at no cost.
