Role Description
Join our compassionate team in the Memory Care Centre at Waikanae village, where we provide specialized care for residents living with dementia. Our secure environment prioritizes safety and promotes a meaningful, enjoyable lifestyle tailored to individual preferences and needs.
This full-time role involves working AM and PM shifts on a four days on, two days off roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Serving meals and assisting residents during mealtimes
- Supporting personal hygiene activities including showering
- Helping residents follow their individual care plans through activities like walking and exercises
- Facilitating engaging activities such as puzzles and table tennis
Candidate Profile
We seek individuals who are naturally empathetic, patient, and kind, with a passion for making a positive impact in residents' lives.
Required Experience and Skills
- Previous work experience in aged care or related fields
- Experience specifically in dementia care
- Strong verbal communication abilities to foster meaningful relationships
- Availability to work the specified roster pattern of four consecutive days followed by two days off
