Role Overview

We are seeking a Regional Manager to oversee our Joint Replacement business across New Zealand. This national leadership position requires presence within reasonable distance of a major airport to facilitate frequent travel throughout the country.

The position involves managing commercial growth, fostering clinical partnerships, and guiding the performance of a sales team comprising 10 members, including 3 Associate Territory Managers and 7 Territory Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve regional targets for revenue growth, profitability, and market share within the Joint Replacement portfolio.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 10 sales professionals, ensuring achievement against established sales and capability objectives nationwide.
  • Implement sales strategies that align with surgeon demand, hospital needs, and strategic portfolio goals.
  • Cultivate lasting relationships with orthopaedic surgeons, operating theatre staff, and hospital administrators.
  • Manage accurate sales forecasting, territory management, inventory oversight, and comprehensive service coverage across New Zealand.
  • Oversee the professional rollout of product launches, conversions, and recalls within the portfolio.
  • Track competitor activities, pricing structures, and procedural trends to refine regional strategy.
  • Ensure adherence to quality management systems, regulatory compliance, and company policies.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience selling implantable medical devices.
  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership or sales management capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in business, science, healthcare, or related field.
  • Valid New Zealand driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in joint replacement or reconstructive orthopaedics.
  • Experience managing hospital accounts within public and private health systems.
  • Familiarity working in regulated medical technology environments.
