Job description
Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor specializing in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) to join our team in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Oil & Gas projects and familiarity with ADNOC standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and verify E&I quantities based on drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and site measurements.
- Develop Material Take-Offs (MTOs), quantity estimates, and cost calculations.
- Handle client billing processes and prepare documentation for subcontractor payments.
- Monitor and control project quantities and expenses ensuring adherence to budget.
- Assess and manage variations, claims, and additional works.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, construction, procurement, and commercial departments.
- Keep comprehensive and accurate records of measurements, quantities, costs, and contract-related documents.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Five to seven years of professional experience as an E&I Quantity Surveyor within Oil & Gas sectors.
- Preference given to candidates with prior ADNOC project involvement.
- Proficient in preparing and reviewing BOQs, MTOs, and quantity take-offs.
- Strong knowledge of client billing, interim payment applications, subcontractor payment procedures, variations management, and cost control.
- Good understanding of E&I design drawings, specifications, contract administration, and ADNOC regulations.
- Advanced skills in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Effective communication and coordination abilities in English.
- Preference for candidates currently residing in the UAE.
