Role Overview
The Quantity Surveyor plays a critical role in the commercial and financial management of allocated projects, ensuring efficient procurement and delivery within established budgets and timelines. This position involves comprehensive commercial oversight from project inception through to final accounts, requiring direct coordination with senior leadership, including the Construction and Commercial Directors, and interaction with the Board.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage monthly cost reporting and financial forecasting for projects.
- Administer contracts and subcontract packages along with handling any variations.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers and fellow Quantity Surveyors to support commercial strategies and financial control.
- Conduct regular site visits for meetings, valuations, and project reviews based on experience and location.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have at least three years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor across varied project types and budgets, preferably within developer, main contractor, or subcontractor settings. Key expertise includes pre- and post-contract processes such as cost planning, bill of quantities measurement, tendering and procurement, value engineering, and account finalization.
Strong understanding of construction industry standards, materials, techniques, and systems is essential. Proficiency in financial and reporting software, including Excel and Word, is required. Candidates must hold a valid, clean driving license.
