Role Summary
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to be integral in managing the financial and commercial aspects of assigned construction projects. The role requires efficient procurement and ensuring projects adhere to budget and timelines through commercial expertise from project initiation to final account. This position reports to the Construction Director and Commercial Director and includes exposure to the Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing monthly cost reporting and financial forecasting for projects.
- Handling contract and subcontract packages and monitoring variations.
- Collaborating with Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors on commercial strategies and financial controls.
- Undertaking regular site visits for meetings, valuations, and project reviews aligned with experience and project locations.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate possesses at least three years of Quantity Surveying experience across diverse project types and values, gained within developer, main contractor, or subcontractor setups. They are proficient in both pre-contract and post-contract activities, including cost planning, measurement for bills of quantities, tendering, procurement, value engineering, tender reporting, interim valuations, and final accounts.
A solid understanding of construction industry procedures, building materials, construction methods, and building systems is essential. Candidates must be computer literate, with strong capabilities in Excel, Word, and financial/reporting software. A full, clean driving license is compulsory.
