Base Operation Executive

Role Overview

The Base Operations Executive is responsible for managing daily base operations with a strong focus on security, ensuring efficient handling of equipment and personnel within the yard while upholding rigorous safety, security, and compliance standards. This role involves coordination with multiple departments and external vendors to guarantee timely and accurate service delivery. Operational activities include warehouse and outdoor storage tasks such as receipt, storage, packaging, sea fastening, transportation, and distribution of products.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the receipt, inspection, and dispatch of items in both warehouse and open yard areas.
• Verify incoming product quality and quantity, alerting the buyer of discrepancies.
• Ensure safe storage of products in designated areas.
• Maintain accurate product movement records in systems like Yellowstar and InforLN and ensure all documentation is available promptly.
• Monitor PPE inventory levels and inform the Base Operations Manager of any discrepancies.
• Guarantee packing standards are met before dispatch and oversee safe loading/unloading of transport vehicles and containers.
• Formulate and enforce security policies to protect the base, vessels, and personnel.
• Oversee upkeep and repairs of yard and warehouse facilities.
• Coordinate logistical support for regional projects and vessels.
• Ensure timely renewal of statutory certificates for yard equipment, buildings, and warehouses.
• Lead sustainability efforts to reduce environmental impact, including waste management programs.
• Act as the main point of contact for tenants, supervise company drivers, perform driving duties when needed, assist with pre-procurement, and stay informed about industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline; certifications in security management or sustainability preferred.
• Possession of Class 3 driving license and forklift license.
• At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in yard, warehouse, or logistics operations, ideally in a supervisory capacity.
• Comprehensive understanding of logistics principles, inventory control, transport planning, and security procedures.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and team motivation skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software, along with a proactive and detail-focused approach.

• Employment Location: Operating at our Singapore office located at 23 Gul Road.
• Employment Type: Full-time position, part-time specified as employment type due to listing, confirmed as full time.
• Team: You will join the operations department within Boskalis Singapore.
