Role Overview

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will collaborate closely with an experienced commercial team to help ensure project success. Your role will include maintaining robust relationships, optimizing commercial outcomes, and managing risks effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing tender documents, evaluating and selecting suitable subcontractors, negotiating and finalizing subcontract orders, and managing the financial and commercial aspects of subcontractors through to final account closure.
• Overseeing and reporting on forecasts, targets, reconciliations, site documentation, variation reporting, valuations, and assisting with site records and document control.
• Engaging with and commercially advising or challenging site management teams while safeguarding the company’s contractual and commercial interests.
• Supervising Assistant Quantity Surveyors (AQS) and Trainee Quantity Surveyors (TQS), verifying their outputs, particularly regarding Standard Method Measurement (SMM) issues, and approving their work.

Experience & Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor within residential and commercial construction projects.
• Experience in writing reports, forecasting, and collaborating with clients and senior leadership.
• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
• A relevant third-level educational qualification.
