Role Overview

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will integrate into a seasoned Project Controls team operating at a group-wide level, coordinating closely with Senior Management and Commercial Teams within various business units. This role is pivotal in influencing financial tactics, reporting on significant projects, conducting risk evaluations, and interpreting commercial outcomes at the highest organizational levels.

Your responsibilities include managing the project cost strategies in alignment with our financial goals and business success. You will compile and scrutinize commercial data for all projects, highlighting financial risks and opportunities.

This position requires a presence at the Dublin headquarters four days weekly and occasional travel to project sites across Europe. We offer a competitive salary and the chance to advance your career with one of Ireland's leading construction companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with commercial teams across active projects to support project financial management.
  • Analyze detailed commercial project data to extract actionable insights.
  • Develop and present comprehensive group-level reports for Executive Management.
  • Examine monthly commercial reports from project teams to verify accuracy and identify trends.
  • Assist in creating quarterly revenue and profit forecasts to enhance predictability.
  • Generate cost performance reports on a weekly and monthly basis as required.
  • Maintain consistent engagement with Business Units to ensure commercial strategy alignment.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • At least 6 years of professional experience in quantity surveying or an equivalent role.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with clarity and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills, capability to meet deadlines, and a solution-oriented mindset.

Desirable:

  • A formal background in quantity surveying or comparable expertise.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP platforms; training will be provided.
  • Experience with analytical tools, such as Power BI.
  • Previous work experience in the construction or engineering industries.
  • Enthusiasm for learning, process improvement, and professional growth within the company.
