Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a Quality Inspector for a precision engineering firm located in Havant. This company specializes in subcontract manufacturing of highly accurate components and assemblies for stringent sectors such as aerospace, oil & gas, and underwater applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine mechanical and visual inspections of components before and after treatment, including initial (first-off) inspections.
- Operate within an AS9100-certified quality management system to ensure delivery of precise components on schedule.
- Utilize both manual measuring techniques and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) when necessary.
- Prepare and issue required customer documentation such as First Article Inspection Reports, Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and other relevant paperwork.
- Accurately submit quality-related documentation through designated customer portals within required timelines.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a meticulous manufacturing environment focused on precision.
- Strong understanding of inspection methods and quality control documentation.
- Familiarity with interpreting technical engineering drawings.
Employment Details and Benefits
- Salary range: £30,000 to £34,000 per annum.
- Workweek consists of 37 hours, scheduled Monday through Thursday from 12:00 PM to 9:45 PM.
- Onsite parking is available for employees.
