Role Overview
The Quality Coordinator will support the establishment and upkeep of project quality management systems throughout engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning stages. This role ensures deliverables meet contractual obligations, standards, codes, and client quality expectations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate quality assurance and control activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with implementing the Project Quality Management Plan and associated procedures.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, regulations, and company quality processes.
- Oversee inspections, testing, audits, and quality reviews involving project teams, contractors, and suppliers.
- Maintain comprehensive quality documentation including inspection reports, material records, audit findings, and quality registers.
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports, along with corrective and preventive actions, and ensure completion of closeouts.
- Review quality documentation submitted by contractors and suppliers such as Inspection & Test Plans.
- Generate quality metrics, dashboards, and reports to monitor project performance.
- Facilitate lessons learned sessions and continuous improvement initiatives across teams.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of findings.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to implement quality requirements effectively.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or related technical fields.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in quality coordination, assurance, or control within engineering, construction, mining, infrastructure, or industrial project environments.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and ISO 9001 standards.
- Experience in construction inspection processes, material traceability, document control, and quality reporting.
- Knowledge of EPC, EPCM, or large capital project environments.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management software.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification is advantageous.
- Experience supporting major infrastructure, mining, industrial, or energy projects.
- Awareness of construction codes, standards, and quality inspection protocols.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
Work Schedule and Location
This position is based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia, with regular working hours from Sunday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
