QA / Test Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced QA / Test Engineer to oversee quality assurance within a complex, multi-stage Mendix enterprise project. This initiative features bilingual (Arabic/English) external web portals, internal administrative tools, and native iOS/Android applications, all interconnected through an enterprise service bus (ESB) engaging approximately 20 external systems, including government, financial, payment, and enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute functional and regression testing for web portals, back-office systems, and mobile applications.
• Perform system integration testing (SIT) for ESB-facilitated integrations, validating error management and retry mechanisms.
• Develop and sustain test automation frameworks for Mendix applications.
• Assist in performance and security testing efforts, addressing mobile security aspects.
• Facilitate client User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and oversee defect tracking and resolution.
• Provide support during post-deployment stabilization phases.

Experience & Skills

• Minimum of 5 years in software quality assurance and testing roles.
• At least 3 to 5 years directly involved in testing Mendix platform-based applications.
• Proficient in hands-on test automation development for Mendix solutions.
• Experienced in testing API or ESB-based system integrations.
• Skilled in evaluating native mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
• Exposure to supporting UAT processes with enterprise or government clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Arabic language proficiency is advantageous.
• Background in government or regulated sectors.
• Experience with financial or case-management information systems.
• Familiarity with Arabic and right-to-left (RTL) interface designs.
• Prior work experience in the Middle East region.
