Pump Driver

Role Overview

A prominent organization in the construction and manufacturing industries is looking to appoint a skilled Pump Driver to its operations team. This role involves managing the operation, supervision, and upkeep of pumping apparatus, ensuring they function safely and effectively following company protocols.

Key Duties

• Operate and supervise pumps, pipelines, and associated machinery with efficiency and safety.
• Conduct routine checks and perform essential maintenance on pumping units.
• Observe and record pressure levels, flow rates, and machinery performance, reporting any inconsistencies.
• Address minor equipment issues and liaise with maintenance staff for corrective actions.
• Adhere to safety guidelines, company policies, and environmental regulations.
• Keep detailed and accurate operation logs and documentation.
• Support equipment installation, testing, and commissioning processes as needed.
• Communicate and collaborate with production, maintenance, and site teams to maintain continuous operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical disciplines or related fields.
• At least 2 to 5 years of practical experience as a Pump Driver, Plant Operator, or similar positions within construction, manufacturing, concrete, water treatment, industrial, or allied sectors.
• Strong understanding of pumps, motors, valves, piping systems, and related tools.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals, operation instructions, and simple schematic drawings.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance methods and adherence to safety norms.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work effectively under pressure.
• Flexibility to work in shifts if required.

Desired Additional Experience

Experience working in ready-mix concrete plants, manufacturing units, industrial facilities, water systems, or construction environments will be considered an asset.
