Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Planner specializing in hospitality and fit-out projects to develop, track, and manage master project schedules. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in schedule analysis, critical path evaluation, delay and risk assessments, and integrating various stakeholder schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project. The role includes progress validation, reporting, recovery planning, and providing strategic advice to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and assess logical links prepared by contractors and stakeholders.
- Ensure application of appropriate Critical Path Method techniques.
- Document baseline versus actual progress status of projects.
- Conduct detailed schedule analyses such as Longest Task, Time Impact, As Planned, and Window Slicing analyses.
- Review and evaluate schedules submitted by stakeholders.
- Record Temporary Occupational License (TOL) requirements.
- Document and review statutory submission schedules.
- Integrate multiple contractor schedules into a unified master schedule.
- Analyze and report potential delays and issues.
- Perform Earned Value Analysis when required.
- Carry out risk assessments related to scheduling.
- Monitor and control stakeholders' schedules, highlight issues, and recommend recovery strategies.
- Support project reporting activities.
- Track procurement logs, shop drawing submissions/approvals, material approvals, and RFIs.
- Compare physical onsite works against planned schedules and report variances with recovery proposals.
- Validate and compare all scheduled events against contractual provisions.
- Identify scheduling problems and suggest recovery recommendations.
- Coordinate findings with other trades and suggest improvements.
- Assist project directors in report preparation and validate project progress.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 5 to 7 years of experience in planning or scheduling for hospitality or fit-out projects.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree preferably in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or an accredited Construction Management Certificate.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project software.
- Skilled in preparing PowerPoint presentations, report writing, and using Power BI.
- Experience working directly for client or owner teams, or project secondment representing clients, is advantageous.
- PMP accreditation is a bonus.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
